News : Energy@home workshop and booth at the M2M Forum, Milano, 20th May 2014

The Energy@home Association (http://www.energy-home.it) is pleased to invite you to attend the M2M Forum, the Machine-to-Machine 2014 Forum that is going to take place in Milano on 20th of May at NH MILANOFIORI CONGRESS CENTER Street Uno, Milanofiori, 20090 Assago – Milan (Italy). M2MForum (http://www.m2mforum.it) is one of the most important European exhibitions devoted to the machine-to-machine communication and Internet of Things and this year Energy@home will  be one of the main exhibitors presenting its main news and achievements with a booth and a workshop.

Visit our booth in the main Exhibition Room to see our Smart Home system that shows the interoperability of the Energy@home eco-system: 10+ devices from different vendors integrated into a single home area network and into an harmonized user application. Such an eco-system can only be created through the genuine collaboration between stakeholders from several types of industries, including energy, telecommunication, ICT, household appliances and more. In particular the demo features JEMMA (http://jemma.energy-home.org) the open-source reference implementation of the Energy@home specifications and includes the following devices and systems: Enel Smart Info (smart meter interface - home gateway to the power grid), Indesit Company Smart Appliances, Telecom Italia Smart Home Gateway & Cloud Service, Power-One Photo Voltaic Inverter, MAC Smart Lighting, i-EM forecasting web-service, Intecs interfaces services, Urmet smart home devices, Gemino home gateway, and other off-the-shelf commercial devices. Satellite booths of the following 4 SME’s, all members of the Energy@home Association, will complement the demonstrator with in-depth presentations of some of the products: Gemino srl, i-EM srl, MAC srl, Urmet spa.

In the morning attend the Energy@home workshop in the SS1 room to get an insight about how Smart Homes can take advantage of recent developments in the Smart Grid Area. The title of the workshop is “Energy@home Association: Valuing the demand-side flexibility through a smart home communication infrastructure” and 6 companies will present their point of view and achievements.
